Fiscal Year 2008 Accomplishments:

®  The Vision Quest Neighborhood Foundation received grant funding from the WV Forestry Service to help construct a paved walking path and install a new piece of playground equipment at the Lower Pine Street Playground.

®  We received five pieces of skatepark equipment from the City of Blacksburg, VA, to upgrade our skating facility.

®  Revived the Adult Coed Volleyball League.

®  Received $5,000 from the Mercer County Commission toward the installation of an air conditioning system for the Recreation Center Gymnasium.

®  Received $35,000 in contributions toward replacing the Recreation Center playground equipment and constructing a covered picnic shelter.

The mission of the Princeton Park and Recreation Department is to provide a variety of recreational activities for children and adults of all ages.  We are proud to offer the youth of our community a safe and fun environment to learn and participate in organized sports.
